thread view latest at top?
 

any way of changing the default view so the latest posting appears first ?

For myself I like it the way it is. It's logical to read in the natural order from top to bottom rather than the other way round and it's easy to scroll down to the end of the page (using Ctrl+End is a handy shortcur if you don't want to use the mouse wheel).

Go to Controls > Edit Options. Then scroll down to "Thread Display Options" and choose "Linear, Newest First."
