No Wide Version??

I usually keep my screen resolution at my LCD's native (1280x1024) and use the "wide" version of DVinfo.com forums... but the choice has disappeared today and now I'm stuck with a version that only fills half the screen. What happened??

Thanks Chris, however its a no go on that link.

But if you're just restructuring and promise the wide version will be back, I can be patient....

Chris, I clicked on that link to see what wide looked like and now I can't get it to go back to narrow. Do you have a link for the narrow option? I get an error and nothing happens when I try to change views in the drop down menu. The narrow version is better for you because it makes it look like even more people are visiting in the Current Users section. As of today, I am also having trouble logging out. I have to click that link that says An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out. for it to release me.

See the Style Chooser drop down menu on the bottom left of the page. It should allow you to choose formats.

-EDIT-

Oh, I see... it doesn't seem to switch to narrow even though it lists it as an option. I'm sure Chris will get this all sorted out soon :-)

I personally prefer to read (and design) forum or content widths at no greater than 600-650 pixels about, otherwise your eyes have to scan too far from left-to-right, and it's more work which can get bothersome.

That's why it's great to have choices. I personally prefer to have more content visable on the screen at one time, especially in forums where I do a lot of reading.

The "Blue-White" style has been taken down temporarily but will be fully restored very soon.

Hey, that temp style is pretty nice. Easy to read the forum categories.

Here's another thumbs up for this temp style. I can see links better and just generally like the look.

my eyes!

What are you guys talking about? Doesn't it just blast your retinas? And some of the fonts are so big now I feel like I'm reading the "large print" version. :) Maybe it's just my computer.

I really like the original style. Not that I'd gripe if everyone wanted to keep the new look, but honestly, this one (for now) is driving my eyes bonkers.

I'll second the favourable comments for the new style. To my geezered eyes on my monitor this is far more readable. The two-word description of the effect that comes to mind is "crisp & clean."
