just got blitzidea. That dvinfo would have somthing like every year contest/award. Categories may copy very much present forum system, like:
Best with Canon
Best with ...
Best in Alternative Img(for instance 35mm adapters)
Best with RED if you will

and some general categories, like:
Best feature
Best musical video
Best in given subject/genre

....?

No problem Frank, some of your ideas are differently from the DV Challenge,
so who knows what might happen!

I would actually like to see a festival like that.

Just thinking out loud - have seen competitions for 'best website under 5k' and so on. In addition to the DV Challenge (which I am ashamed to say I have not yet managed to enter.. but will soon), is there room for a fun techie-type roundup - probably annual - which flips over to such challenges as best use of specific camera features or the number of *justified* edits (most/least), maybe even a rogues gallery including 'extreme colour correction', flukiest repair edit (before/after),

A bit like the first Fosbury Flop - prove it can be done. :-)
