DVD Workshop Probs - HELP!

I have been working on burning this DVD for a week now. I keep getting different error messages.

I'm taking a file from AVID, encoding it with TMPGEnc (standard settings - 7000kb, CBR, layer 2 mpeg audio, 192 bitrate) and then trying to burn a DVD with ulead dvd workshop.

currently i'm getting an error message "unspecified error" somewhere during the conversion process after whatever happenes when the 3/5 background conversion is over.

I was getting an error message in the previous encoded version that something about my MPEG audio having a problem or not being standard or something.

I've tried encoding the project again with TMPGEnc. It is 1hr 5min long.

I've tried exporting the avid file as an AVI but I get an error message during the process saying i can't export the bin, even though its exported some of it.

I really need to get this to the client. Does anyone have any ideas for solutions?

Thanks
Annie

Did you try breaking the mpeg up in elementery streams (one
for the video and one for the audio) and feeding that into your
authoring package?

If you just need a DVD disc that starts the movie when you
insert it, Nero should be able to do that for you.
It is a burning program but I think it is also able to make a
simplistic DVD video which is what you need in a short time.

You can download their demo to try it out.

I don't know if DVD Workshop takes elementary streams. If it does, I couldn't figure how to get them in there last time I tried.

I don't know the program you are describing so I cannot help
you with that. There are programs out there called demuxers
that can take a Program Stream and create seperate elementary
streams from that which most authoring packages seem to like
better. Do a google search on mpeg2 and demux.

For fast results I do suggest you take a look at Nero.
