DVD Studio Pro menu pictures

So I want to make the background of my dvd menu in Adobe Illustrator. I have done a few like this and they turn out great.

Now all of a sudden, if I use a picture, it gets all pixelated when I put the file in DVD Studio. I have tried changing the resolution of the Illustrator file with no luck.

Any suggestions? Should I just use a different program?

It's my wedding DVD so I want it to be nice. Thanks.

Well, after some more digging I found an answer. Just in case anybody else looks this up.

Because of the square/rectangle pixel differences, still images need to be set at a size of 720 X 534 X 72

It is very easy in photoshop, and so far the quality is better as well.
