i found it! you CAN burn a no menu MOVIE ONLY DVD (DVD architect2):
 

just goto file-new and select 'single movie' project. i was surprised i didn't see this before. hopefully this'll help somebody. in past threads i wanted a feature of DVD authoring software that let you do what Godfather DVD does just play the movie without menus. and i found it! if you try to access the menu nothing happens! kewl! just FYI for those who may not know it.

yup, and u can also have a start video so before the movie plays, u can throw in ur logo (or a dolby digital logo if ur licensed) then start ur movie :)

oh and u cna also type in subtitles within the architect timeline and then have those be ur actual subtitles in ur dvd and behave as such...

is there a way to pause the logo and then resume? i've seen PG13/logo that pause and then resumes.

All you have to do in any DVD authoring package is set the movie to be First Play. So it's really easy.
