Got 4 GB of HVX200 HD footage on DVD - How to get grabs?

Hello.

I've been to Camerimage film festival this year (Poland), tried HVX 200 and begged a Panasonic guy there to let me burn the P2 card in the camera that I used to a DVD.

Now I do have this DVD with video files (I guess its "*mxf") on it. The question is: how can I get some frame grabs?

Well, if you have Avid Pro HD, I suppose you can import the MXF files that why. I'm not really sure though. I'm new to this.

Perhaps Chris would allow some of them to be hosted here? Of course, considering what a couple of 40-50 meg quicktime files did to dvxuser.com, maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea after all...

I hope Panasonic will post some MXF files on their site and/or through FTP. I'm pretty sure they've got the bandwidth.

If you're on FCP I think you can "ingest P2" or something like that, and it should be able to import the files and convert to quicktime.

Focus also makes a file converter program that will convert mxf's to .avi or .mov.
