HDV to DVD field dominance?

I can't seem to make sense of this -
From my XH-A1 at HDV60i, FCP will only capture in AIC - which has lower field dominance. I've tried many, many combinations of settings but when I convert for DVD (SD) the fields are reversed every time.
I've changed every field setting I could find in every combination I could think of but I still have the stuttering of fields reversed.
Is there an easy or foolproof way to get this right? I plan on shooting all HD and I'll need to convert most of it to DVD.

Thanks -

If you use Compressor2 to compress, then you can select the clip in the batch window & specify the native field dominance in the inspector. That should solve your problem.
