60p, downloads, & DVD..

Hello,

I am looking at the HD camera market and preparing to upgrade my setup.

My cameras now do not shoot progressive, so I have no experience using the format.

I have read that progressive capture results in a better looking web product as the full scan refresh interacts with compuer displays better than interlaced.

Is this true? Is progressive material capable higher quality when played over the internet?

Another question,

As far as DVD delivery, if I don't want the film jitter look, it it better to stay with 60i?

Progressive seems to add the benefit of better slow motion than interlacing. And I have also read that progressive can lead to better encoding quality on a DVD, but only at 30p.

Is it possible to shoot in 60p and wind up with an excellent 60i DVD?

I use Edius (Procoder Express) as my encoder.

I am trying to find a role for all of these shooting methods in my workflow and which camera to purchase.

Thanks for your input.
