Video samples from Canon Japan

EOS DIGITAL

Follow the link for video samples for the T2i, 7D, and 1D.

Dunno if this was already posted on this thread (way to many pages for me to check), but here it is (again if it's already posted).

Seems to me like the 7D has a shallower DoF over the T2i. Although the Rebel T2i still has exceptional shallow DoF, it doesn't seem to compare to the 7D's. That's what I gather from these clips at least.

T2I looks great regardless and the DoF could have been done on purpose to tailor more towards the mainstream crowd, but even in similar looking shots between the two show the 7D's superior DoF.

A great camera nonetheless.

Dof differences between the 7D and T2i in footage would be due to either different lens or aperture. They should be exactly the same as they have the same size sensor/crop factor (unlike the 5D, which has a larger sensor)

Michael is of course right. By the way, Roger, if you look at the end titles of the 7D "Line of Sight" video clip you'll notice that it was filmed using a lorry-load of different lenses! :)

A lorry is a big rig or semi truck to those who live in the US and don't speak the queen's english. ;)
