Shooting with a DSLR presents a new challenge...

Thats funny

well I recomend I think you should get a Matte box perhaps and perhaps some other tricks that will sorta give it a DSLR a Video Camera look, but my Punjabi people will be punjabi people no offence :).... easily get confused weather its for Video or Photography.

Mohammed,
I think the confusion is universal. Would I want to avoid it? No way!

This was my first Punjab event, and I learned a lot, made new friends and had a great time. (they really know how to party) Would I do another? In a heartbeat!

That was hilarious! I'm putting together a "pros and cons" list for HDSLRs vs. an HD camcorder. I never thought of this as a potential problem (or asset, depends I guess)! Thanks for the post!

EXACTLY! I did a shot at a bar the other night and every time I saw some great action I wanted to capture, I hit record and everyone stopped! lol. I swear, every clip has me saying "IT'S VIDEO".

I finally through on a longer zoom lens so i could be away and people didn't notice I was shooting. Ended up with something usable.

I think I shall create an outtake piece call, "It's Video". I should have a few dozen clips I can use right now.
