Dan Chung's full 1080p clips (5D Mk.II)
From Dan -- "It is from the edit and so had been converted to Prores
422 using MPEG streamclip then re-exported to H.264 so will have some generation loss but hopefully not much..." Link: http://files.dvinfo.net/5dmkII/dchung_night1_1080p.mov |
Another one from Dan -- a daylight panning test.

Awesome!
This may be asking too much but worth a shot... Is there anyway someone could upload an actual clip straight from the compact flash card on the 5d so we can put them into our NLE's and play around with the settings and all that Jazz. Basically I just want to play around with the workflow and do some trial and error while I save up for the big purchase. Thanks Jason |
I too would like raw clips!
There are a couple at DPReview but there are some glitches in the video; I assume they're only there because it was a beta unit. The clips don't take to color correction too kindly; oversharpened and with crushed blacks. Canon EOS 5D Mark II Hands-on Preview: 15. Video Samples: Digital Photography Review R |
There are more than several videos up at Vimeo from the 5D that as a registered user you can download the source file. Many times that "source" file is the file right from the camera.
Here are some: Restaurant Street - 5D2 on Vimeo Canon EOS 5D Mark II HD Video Testing on Vimeo DarkNear BrightFar Test Canon EOS 5D MkII test on Vimeo Canon EOS 5D MkII test 15mm lens Night Scene on Vimeo 5D Mark II samples - Beijing on Vimeo Toden Arakawasen Canon EOS 5D MkII test on Vimeo Sample on Vimeo There are more too, just search for Canon 5D. Remember, you must be a registered Vimeo user to download. |
Are there dropped frames in the panning test, or is it my mac?
The night video certainly has problems at 1080p, but there's going to be a learning curve. |

It's your computer. Mine can't handle the files either, but if you go frame-by-frame, they're all there.
|
Just render a downrezzed version from the source, then watch it. No dropped frames.
