Some 5D2 Grabs and a clip from a shoot last night

2 Attachment(s)
Park City, UT. 13 degrees outside. :)

I used two LED lights and a Nikon 85mm lens (via Nikon/EOS adapter)

The camera has plenty of issues when it comes to video, but wow, the quality that can be achieved is amazing.

Check the attached grabs from video. :)

Here's a very short clip: http://homepage.mac.com/mrbarlowelton

Nice

Hey Barlow, Great to see this.
I just picked one of these babies up today myself...Can't wait to get home and play.
Nice work
I hope you are well

Thanks John, have fun--it's a cool camera...but in a sort of 'Crazy Uncle Ted' way.

Never 100% predictable even with a manual Nikon lens...but very interesting nonetheless.

Those grabs look great. I've been looking back at 35mm adapter footage from Canon and EX1. Funny how much less impressive that look is now.

Looks like Tungsten would give a better white balance for the background.

B is that your girl? Stunning

Nahh, just someone I know. She is fairly easy on the eyes. :)

Indeed. It's definitely another realm of image quality--too bad the image control in video mode is almost insultingly limited. Still, this is Canon's first pro-ish DSLR with 1080p video, so I'm not going to complain too loudly.

Maybe so, but I think it still looks decent.

Looks great! Which lights are you using?

Barlow Elton December 15th, 2008 08:29 PM

A Flolight LED500 and a small Sony LED camera light.

Chris or any mod--can you edit my post not to include the clip link? I've taken it down.

btw, why can't we have unlimited time to edit our posts?
