In car (rally) camera recording

I have been asked to record footage from inside a rally car. I have a colour bullet camera which is up to the task but wondered if anyone can suggest a decent quality tapeless recorder. I have seen a couple of recorders advertised on the web which record to flash cards or compact flash cards stating they can record upto 120 minutes or so on a 4gb card. Because of the banging about of the car I think solid state may be more reliable than hard drive.

Any experience or suggestions would be gratefully welcomed.

most of people use chasecam, since it is the only affordable mpeg2 recorder on the market.

I record to tape with good results from bullet cams.

This is likely just as rough as rally racing.

I was thinking of going tapeless, but that would get expensive when you use 6-10 onboards.

The video is mine and someone else put the music to it?
