DVCPRO-HD vs JPEG2000

The new Panasonic HPX-170 (similar to the HVX200) has HD-SDI output, and portable recorders are now available to record HD-SDI as 100 Mbps JPEG-2000. Anyone have any knowledge about whether there would be any visible improvement for 720p material recorded with the JPEG-2000 vs the internal 100 Mbps DVCPRO-HD ?
