Best laptop for monitor/HD Capture (HV20)

Quick question - I think I'm going to sell my MacBook Pro to get something smaller, more portable, and cheaper. I wanted to pick something up, though, that has enough power to capture HDV through FireWire. Any recommendations?

I am thinking of using a laptop with a DVI in to monitor (and perhaps even record)

Any suggestions of low priced units that can do this well?
