File based acquisition seminar

I recently covered an interesting presentation on file based acquisition at Vistek here in Toronto. The technical presentation is 1 hour 45 minutes. I found that it helped me understand some of the technical aspects of production. Other parts of the series are on my Vimeo page.

See

Technical Presentation by Francois Gauthier of Sony Canada at Vistek's Pro Solutions Series on October 20th. File-based acquisition was discussed. Everything you might want to know on XDCAM line updates, new software, new features and the latest products like zoom lenses.

He discussed PMW-F3 updates: 3D options, 444 option and S log workflow overview and new accessories,

The HXR-NX3D1 was reviewd.

There was also an introduction to PMW-TD300, the new XDCAM 3D shoulder mount camera.

This presentation also touched on Sony's OLED monitors.

Re: File based acquisition seminar

Another excellent technical presentation on file based workflow is by Brian Young. It's almost 2 hours of information on everything that you need to know to understand digital workflow.
