FFV's Sidekick... some questions

Is anyone out there using this new FFV Sidekick as yet?

I'll be using it just as an HD video recorder from an EX-3 for play out to a satellite or Vyvx feed later.

How much record time can you get at the lowest data rate of 145mbps?

Have a review unit sitting here. Nothing really special. I think the unit is overpriced when compared to the Samurai and Pix (not comparing to KiPro because KiPro doesn't have a screen). Samurai delivers more for much less money. Pix240 is only a little bit more and is much sturdier and more feature-laden. If you are merely using with EX and then playing out, you should also consider the Nanoflash, which has just dropped in price and which works great as a playout "deck"

Thank you for the detailed reply. Was having to rent something for a shoot but as it turns out now I can do what they need with the internal SxS cards.

Do like that Samurai though as far as costs go.
