The Nano will tilt slightly forward and be off to the right side of the EX1. The Nano can easily be removed when not used and the bracket can also easily be removed

It attaches to the standard wing and you can still keep the 2 standard shoes for wireless mics etc.

I am trying to expand this system using current parts. And I think this works really well.

When I make the shoulder brace or the matte box rail adapter for this system that requires additional milling to the wing or plate, I will offer free updated baseplates or wings if you have purchased the earlier model.

If you have any thoughts please comment here or contact me:

You can order the plate and standard wing here, we ship orders the same day received:

Today I used the S&Q motion for the first time since the upgrade and was pleased to find that all I have to do now is to hold the button in for a couple of seconds then adjust the frame rate setting after the blue LED lights up. If I was using 1080 25 P I could overcrank to 30 fps, changing format to 720 25P allowed me to crank up to 60 fps.

The S&Q entry in the menu is now greyed out.

New version of XDCAM Transfer 2.11 is now posted to our support site this version supports new features of new XDCAM EX products and as well for XDCAM EX ONLY it will work under Apple Snow Leopard - Unfortunately the FAM driver for XDCAM optical HD and 422 products will not work under Snow leopard at this time and requires more development work - It will likely be until March for it, along with full support for our software on Windows 7. There will also be very soon a new version of the LOG&Transfer Plugin for FCP under Snow Leopard.

I've had some minor issues with clips off of my SxS cards in the past, but ever since installing the latest driver about a week ago, it's been a nightmare. I'm not on Snow Leopard- I'm still on 10.4.11, and the driver should have worked, but instead caused kernel panics on every attempt to download footage. After figuring out how to uninstall the driver and reverting to the 1.0 driver, things started working again.

After that (and it may be totally unrelated), I started having other problems. Using Clip Browser 2.5, I started getting intermittent CRC errors. It's never on the same clip- sometimes I can only copy a couple clips before the error, sometimes half the clips, sometimes the whole card- different results resulting from multiple attempts with the same card, usually after quitting apps and restarting. After several attempts and getting a successful offload, I convert with XDCAM Transfer 2.10. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes I get errors noting an incorrect directory. Again, it's never repeated on the same clip- it's a different clip on each attempt, and sometimes it works completely. Once I successfully convert the files, they all seem to test out fine in FCP. Today, I upgraded to Clip Browser 2.6 (uninstalled 2.5 first), and the problems are unchanged.

I started using XDCAM transfer straight from the cards, and there haven't been any errors at all. That seems to imply that the camera is fine, and potentially implies that my computer system is fine, and that the problem is with Clip Browser. Considering I've already uninstalled 2.5 and installed 2.6 with no luck, maybe that's not actually the case. I haven't located any preference files or other associated files that could be corrupt- can anyone point me to anything I should trash, or any other steps I can take? One theory I have is that the bad driver corrupted something in Clip Browser, and that corrupt file is still screwing things up. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Is it possible to stream out the firewire a different format than the one being recorded to the sxs card? Since probably no one has an EX1R yet, my question could be directed at the EX1 since they most likely operate the same way in regards to firewire streaming.

Okay, so I just excitedly installed CB 2.6 after discovering it is now available to download in the States:

I install it, select my folder for corrected clips to go to in Preferences, load a folder in CB of video of a photoshoot I shot, found a clip with a few nasty "flash bands", select "Detect and Correct Flash Bands" from the menu, watch as some processing happens and then ...NOTHING.

It says "Clips Detected: 1, Clips Corrected: 0" and alas, nothing happened. No new, corrected clip of my photoshoot video free from ugly flash bands. Nothing. I am sad.

Anyone get this new feature to work? I threw a clip at it that had several flashes for it to chew on, but it spat back nothing.
