I have read that some people have had problems with Toast burning out to Blu Ray. Of course I found this out after I got my burner with the copy of Toast. I know I need a plug-in to burn to Blu Ray, so I probably will just end up upgrading to Toast 10 pro anyway.

So has anyone had success burning out to Blu Ray in Toast? If so, should I set it up in Compressor as an MPEG 2 before, so Toast doesn't have to spend so much time encoding? You know how DVD SP does this where if you choose the right format in compressor, it doesn't have to encode it.

Also any thoughts on appropriate bit rate etc would also be helpful.

In addition my other option would be to burn to blu ray from parallels running DVD Architect.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

I've burn many regular dvd in imovie to play on regular dvd by exporting my project to iDVD. If I export my project to quicktime and import that file in toast, would that work? what compression rate do I need to keep the project in? any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
p.s I already have BRD burner pioneer 205.

I created the file and now I have to burn it, Pinnacle says to choose the BDMV file, when I do that it gives me an error 20 seconds into burning the disk and the disk is ruined, there are a lot of files within the BDMV, which one(s) do I choose to create the disk, thanks.
