I have done 6 weddings and 6 football games with it and now I cannot get it to close. I put a tape in and close it and then opens back up. I can't even close the outside door. So, what is the least expensive option/method to go "tapeless" so I can put that problem behind me?

Has it become more affordable since the last year or so?

What types of technology/systems provides a solution and what are the pros and cons of each....what has your own personal experience been with your GL-2?

Of course once the power is axed, that destroys all of the settings just tweaked such as color,level of light and others!

Is there any method or way to defeat that very annoying "battery preservation" feature and have it on indefinite pause until one is ready to resume shooting?

NOTE: My GL2 had the rocker arm problem. I got the information and the technique on how to fix it from this forum.

Diagrams or maybe a video on how to access the broken part inside the camera and how to attach the new parts
