I am having difficulty capturing from tapes recorded on my HVX. When I try log and capture on my Mac, it says no capture device found. This is the case for iMovie as well.

Has this happened to anyone? Are there some weird settings I need to change?

I have an upcoming shoot for a commercial for national Television, so a big deal for me. The shoot is going to be in a studio (normally for photography) with the use of a white background (round wall I think it's called). Just like in the MAC vs. PC commercials.

I am going to shoot in HD with the Letus 35 extreme and it's going to be wide-shots and close-ups but not to much movement in it. I will use a 32 G and 4GB P2 card (4 GB just because I have it :). I am still in doubt about which format I will use and there are no request from the client.

720p/50p, 720p/25p, 1080i/50i or 1080i/25p? What format would you recommend for this shoot?

I had a JVC111 before (still do) and after setting the camera up as per information on this site, it was much better. Any ideas? Also, my LCD screen is far from white on white balance. With the JVC it turned white but this cam is still a bit blue. Any thoughts are welcome. I am using the 13x fujinon lens which is amazing.

I bought a lenovo s10e netbook and an addonics express card adapter to use as a field p2 offloading system. However, I can't seem to get it working, and I have a feeling it is the P2 drivers. I followed the procedures outlined in that thread, as well as used the step by step videos provided by addonics.

When I first inserted the card, the computer recognized it and said it was ready to use. Then I installed the newest P2 drivers, then inserted the card and adapter. The computer found "A mass USB storage device" but never recognized a P2 card, so this leads me to believe the addonics adapter IS working.

When I try to manually install the drivers, again there is no P2 hardware present. When I look in device manager as outlined in the Panasonic guide to confirm the drivers are working, a P2 card or anything from Panasonic is not there. So this is leading me to believe that the drivers are not working properly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled them umpteen times, as well as trying different orders of operation (booting up with the card already inserted, etc). Any thoughts on how to get my computer to recognize the P2 card?

Thanks.
