Favorites category for Filters & Transitions?

Please help! Now kicking the tires on X and what am I missing? I see many enhancements that will speed up the editing process but I can't find any way to create a favorites group for filters/transitions. I had a list of 15 or so filters and transitions in a favorites list in FC7 that I could grab with one swipe of the mouse. Now I have to search for a filter every time??? Really? That's a great way to SLOW DOWN editors.

I'm in a state of suspended disbelief that something that speeds up editing so much would be completely omitted.

I used to have my most used filters assigned to hot keys 1-9, I don't even see a way to do that because no favorite commands show up for the keyboard? This is unbelievable to me.
