Multiple Event/Project folders

I'm sure this has been covered but when I hit the search arrow my company blocks any response under the category "Guns and Knives".
Its been a long time since I've been here.
Things have changed. We used to use our words.

Anyhoo, I would like to create "2013" Event and Project folders on the same servers that my current folders reside.
Is this possible?

Re: Multiple Event/Project folders

Other than keeping things on separate drives, the easiest way to have lots of projects is to keep the ones you are not working on in a separate folder (it's instant to move them), so you could have:

Final Cut Events
Final Cut Events 2011
Final Cut Events 2012
Final Cut Events 2013

Then do the same for the projects.

When ever you want a project to be active, drag it from it's year folder to the Final Cut Events folder and voila - it's not active, while the other projects still there but not cluttering (or slowing down) FCPX. When you no longer need it, move it back to it's year folder.
