FCPX portable editing on dual screens

2 Attachment(s)
The ASUS MB168B+ monitor just came out recently, and at least for me, it's a game changer for portable FCPX editing. A second 15.6" screen via USB3 (no ac adapter necessary), around the weight of an Ipad, 1920x1080 resolution.

I posted more photos and info on my blog - A New Era For Portable Dual Monitor Video Editing | Alaska Video Shooter

Has anyone else tried this monitor?

It's a very compelling set-up. How is the color quality on the Asus? Is the viewing angle acceptable for more than one viewer? I use a Spyder4 Elite USB color calibrator to balance the colors on my Macbook Pro and HP monitor it's connected to (and believe me, the HP needs it bad), however I have found that color calibrators don't work on all monitors, some older iMac screens for example. I take the MBP on the road sometimes for clients and it would be great to have a reasonably color accurate monitor.

Hi William - I don't know how accurate it is, but it's definitely a different hue and much dimmer than the Macbook Pro Retina screen. So, these kinds of screens are probably not ready to be used for primary color correction or photo editing. But for giving you a lot more room to work with, it's pretty great.
