Final Cut X Tutorial(s) for FCP7 user

My MacPro "trashcan" arrived yesterday and I installed FCX.

What tutorial(s) would current users recommend for someone moving up from FCP7?

I have also a Thunderbolt docking station on order, but discovered there is an Apple Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 adapter dongle available. Has anyone used one of these and offer comments on how well they work?

Thanks!

I use the Ripple Training products which I think are outstanding. They are direct and to the point and finding bits to view again in the videos is easy because they index them very well. I have the lightning to Firewire adaptor on an old JBOD device and its worked faultlessly for two years into a trash can Mac.
I hope that helps.

Another vote for Ripple Training. I've purchased a lot of their training and it gets you up and running very quickly.

One thing to understand: FCP X is not at all like FCP 7. Try and learn the new way of working because it's much faster than the only way once you get use to it. If you try and use FCP X just you did FCP 7 you will only get frustrated. Resist the temptation.

I could never go back to working with tracks after experiencing the magnetic timeline of FCP X. It makes perfect sense once you understand how it can help you tell the story.
