Please Help With Poor DVD Resolution!!!
Hi,
I just finished editing a 115 minute wedding video I shot on my Canon XL2, using Sony Mini DV tapes. I exported the footage into Final Cut using the mini DV settings. In any case, I editing the footage, added effects, all that jazz, and exported using Compressor set to 120 min DVD video. I then burned the footage using DVD Studio Pro 4. Well, the footage on the DVD is really poor resolution. It's a little fuzzy and grainy, and definitely not as clear as it was during editing. Does anyone know what's going on, and what else I might be able to try? |
what were your compressor export settings?
|
Hi Theadore,
The export settings were for 120min DVD video; it was one of the Compressor options in the Apple folder. It used the MPEG2 codec, and stereo audio. Now that I've had a chance to go back and take a little closer look into my FCP project, I've just noticed that there's a lot of horizontal lines in the video. You know those lines you see when you get really close to the TV screen? That's it. I tried a deinterlace matte, and it helped. Is there anything else I can do to sharpen my video a little more (besides use the sharpen filter)? |
