FCS2 Audio question
 

I am going through the DVCreator.net Final Cut Pro Foundations tutorial which seems great.

Question:
I can not seem to get the wave form in the timeline to work. I went to the right facing arrow at the bottom left and click on "Show Audio Waveforms" and it does not appear just some "X" at even spaces.

Thoughts?

The X's show up before the waveforms. Really long sequences can slow down this process, as can a slow computer.
Have you got the the show audio waveforms box ticked in the timeline options tab of User preferences?

ALT/Apple + W is the keyboard shortcut to turn the waveforms on/and off.

Can't think of anything else to try right now.

When you say the timeline options tab of User preferences do you mean on the lower left of the timeline with the right facing arrow where I can pick waveforms on? Or is there a menu control besides the Apple + W?

Dom I found that my Logitech keyboard would not work so I went back to the apple keyboard and all is working great.
