Best Sequence Settings for multi-frame rate edit

I am cutting a new version of my demo reel and want to know the best settings to use for my sequence. Most of the footage is in some form of 24p (HDV 1080p, HDV 720p, and XDCAM HD 1080p), but there is some 60i footage (also HDV). I started out using an HDV 1080p24 sequence (since this is what most of the footage is) and the 720p and XDCAM stuff looks fine. The 60i looks choppy. I then tried converting 60i in MPEG streamclip but it didn't look much better, if any better.

I tested 30p and 60i timelines. Then the 24p stuff looks a little juttery. The end result will be on the web almost exclusively.

Should I be working in a different format all-together (ProRes, DVPro)?

I have searched the forum but have not found exactly the answer I am looking for.

Thanks,
Benjamin

Always use the highest resolution setting (in your case 1080p) and then up-convert / de-interlace to make your other footage match.

Chances are your final QuickTime will be dither down to SD ultimately.
