Separating Audio and Video tracks.

Just a bit of background: I used to edit with Vegas, now im using FCP.

In Vegas i could move a audio track and separate it from the video track. You could even choose which track you wanted to drop on the time line. In FCP how can i manipulate the audio or video tracks separately. I want lay video over audio from a different clip.

Thanks,
Matt

You need to disable the incoming audio source in the destination track controls first. See the FCP user manual Volume II, pages 127-131 for more information.
