LiveType presets with HDV 1440x1080

Just wondering what the correct preset values are in LiveType's "Project Properties" pop-up menu when working with HDV footage from my A1.

As there is no applicable preset (Livetypes presets don't update with any FCP 5.1.2 + updates):

1) Should I set the project's resolution to 1920x1080 - or should I set it to 1440x1080 and set the pixel aspect ratio to 1.33?

2) If outputting to interlaced DVD should I select field dominance "odd" or "even"?

Presets Screengrab below...

Set it to the same as your FCP timeline. So the answer to 1) is likely 1440x1080 (not sure about the pixel aspect ratio... isn't HDV a square pixel format?). The answer to 2) is set it to match your timeline/footage.

mike i think your right (though hdv has a 1.33 aspect pixel ratio) - after closer inspection, the other preset HDV settings (60i/50i) had res of 1440x1080 with pixel aspect of 1.33 so I'm assuming this must be the correct preset for 24p also.

Settings for frame resolution and pixel aspect are exclusive of framerate. If you are working with 1440x1080 (1.33 aspect) footage on a (most likely) 1440x1080 timeline, then you would generally want your Motion/LiveType/AE/whatever material to be 1440x1080 (1.33) as well.

Naturally, you would want framerates to match as well, but framerates do not impact upon resolution or vice-versa.
