Text Controls are crashing FCP 6.0.2
 

Howdy all,

I tried to search for this topic but couldn't find anything. If there is already a thread out there, sorry about this.

I sat down at my edit suite today (MBP 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 Gb of Ram) and opened up FCP (6.0.2). I proceeded to load up my project file and things were moving a tad slower than usual but I just put this down to a massive project size (it was loading up about 350 gb worth of assets).

The problems began when I clicked on the shortcut text option at the bottom right hand side of my viewer and created a text file. I tried to alter the text by clicking on the 'control' tab in the viewer and it crashed FCP (and again 4 more times upon restarting the program). I trashed the prefs but no luck and atm I am just editing without using text.

Has anyone come across anything like this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
