Error: file locked
 

Here's the situation. We have an assistant swapping name keys and dumping to tape, but when he tries to render he gets error:file locked. The shows are located on the editors volume (we're using SANMP) where the editor has read write access. When he is done with the show the assistant will mount that volume as read only, he also has his own volume mounted that has read write access. He opens the show swaps out name keys than goes to render (again renders are set to his volume not the editors) and he gets error: file locked.

This does not happen every time, but enough that is very much a nuisance.

The FCP plug ins are identical across all systems so there shouldn't be any problems there.

Assitants machine 2007 octo 3.0 8gig ram
Editors machines range from 2007 octo 3.0 8gig ram to G5 2.0 4gig ram
All systems have the following

QT 7.4.5

Any suggestions?
