FCP not reading P2 footage from workflow.

Hello all - appreciate any help with this...

I just installed FCP 6.0.1 tonight and tried to open my P2 Footage with no luck.

Not sure what the mistake I am making is, but my workflow is as follows (1.) P2 to PMCIA card slot on my laptop computer. (2.) Copy of the P2 card to a desktop folder. (3.) Later that day I dock the Laptop to my desk based tower and copy /transfer folder contents to my SATA drive. (4.) Open FCP and attempt to import P2 footage.

I don't see a Panasonic import option in my menu's on FCP. I can see the MFX files where they should be on the SATA drive. I'm really lost. Thanks.

Step #4 is too vague. How are you attempting to import the P2 footage? Are your P2 folder structures in tact?

Open FCP and hit Apple + Shift + 8. This will open the log and transfer window. Navigate to your SATA drive (Box in top left corner) and open your P2 folder. The list should populate.

Hope this helps,
