In & out text fade using FCE...?

Please don't tell me that it's not possible to fade in/out titles in FCE...?

Of course it is and you have several options:

Firstly if you created the titles in FCE use the Boris Title 3D over the standard titler, better quality and more options Once you create and position your text you can:

1) Apply a cross dissovle transition to each end of the title

You can use other effects as wee.

2) Use the opacity line and key frame some points to make ramps as beginning and end

OR: Use Live Type which gives you a dizzying array of options nad effects

Have a look at chapter 36 in your manual.

Failing all of the above, you could always use the 'FADE IN FADE OUT DISSOLVE' filter that you'll find in Effects/Transitions/Dissolve.
