Capture in Final Cut Express ????
2 Questions
1. I filmed an outdoor event in 24p, Im ready to capure my footage into Final Cut Express......What setting and Pulldowns should I be using to get the best quality 2. Same question but...I shot a second event at 60i |
This question is similar to what I am wondering. On my system I only have iMovie but it doesn't support 24p. I was wondering if Final Cut Xpress will support 24p and if it is also capable of removing pulldown.
Thanks! -Terry. |
No 24p support in FCE directly. But which camera are we talking about?

im using a dvx100B - I thought you could edit 24p in FCE just not 24pa - I will be shooting an event in 30p - can 30p be editing in FCE

Yeah 24p with it's pulldown = standard DV-NTSC 60i signal. So no problem in FCE. With FCP you can remove the pulldown and edit at true 23.98 for higher image quality. But not a night and day difference. I explain all in my DVX100 DVD btw. :)

I am using the Hv30. Which doesn't have true 24p.

Unless I can find an alternative program to remove pulldown? Then I can use that footage in FCE or iMovie to edit 'true 24p'? Trust me i'd love to get Final Cut Studio 2 or Pro but the program alone costs more than the budget for my film.
