Motion projects in FCP not rendering correctly with ProRes settings

When I render clips brought directly into FCP from motion, there are pink blocks in the clip after render. Anyone know what this is. They render fine with HD settings, but not with Prores settings.

I have gotten the same thing with uncompressed 8-bit and DVCPRO HD sources rendered out as ProRes. I don't know why, but am also looking for an answer.

(The reason for outputting uncompressed HD to ProRes was a client's request for clips in that specific codec. Don't ask.)

Makes three of us. I forget EXACTLY what I was doing, but I was trying to bring over material with an embedded alpha channel. I don't use Motion at ALL right now due to that AND systematic crashing nearly every time I use Motion.
