Doesn't work with the Black WD MyBooks. It is an internal drive logic issue specific to the MyBook's. There is a FAQ at WD's website that states that it is not possible to change.

I was unaware of the 3rd party solution. I will look into that once the current project in my edit bay is finished. Thanks David.

Straight from Western Digital FAQ...

My WD external hard drive spins down after some inactivity. Can I disable this feature?

Makes the drives a little bit unsuitable for video editing. Everything else they would be fine.
