Doodling in FCP

I am running FCP 1, and want to doodle on certain frames of a scene. A sort of music video effect, if you will. How do i do it? IS it possible?
Thanks.

If, by "doodle", you mean draw on the frames, the answer is no. FCP is not the tool for this job. Look at After Effects or Commotion for such a facility.

If you don't have that many frames to doodle on you can export an image sequence and work on the image files generated with a program like Photoshop.

Could you not also import them in layers from PhotoShop and then use the layers?

Oh, definitely. That's one of the beauty things about FCP. You import the PSD and it is brought in with each layer as a video track. This way we can fade elements (layers) in and out at differing times, etc.; move them around, all kinds of things.
