Sizes ...

Hello All,

I have been asked to produce a file from FCP with a horizontal size of 400. The footage will be shot in DVCam in 16:9. A recent test showed that an outputted file size of 400 x 200 gave the best-looking frame, but is the vertical size of 200 the optimum size to suit a 16:9 frame?

Regards and thanks for your help,

Stuart

Not unless you want to crop the frame vertically or distort the aspect ratio . At a horizontal width of 400 to maintain a 16:9 ratio the height will be 400x9/16=225.
