Help with sequence volume please!

Hi,
So i have a 4 minute sequence, the audio sounds great, it is nice and loud. HOWEVER, when I export to H.264 MOV, the sounds way too soft. How do I raise the volume of the whole entire sequence without clipping the sound?

Right Click on the sequence, send to SoundTrack Pro Multi track Project.
Then adjust the master output on the mixer, export the mix, import back to FCP.
SoundTrack has great tools also for making sure you don't clip - i.e., limiters.

The other option - easier - more of a cheat really - is to double your audio track. Simply copy your audio track onto a new track. This will double the sounds output - but it's more dangerous than using STP.

Hope this helps,
-C

Just highlight all of you audio and go to Modify>Levels. Choose "relative" to up the levels relative to how you mixed them, or "absolute" to wipe out the audio levels of all of the clips and replace it with a new value.

Or, nest your sequence into one clip and then adjust the volume level up before exporting. It would literally take you about 15 seconds.

If it sounds good in FCP and you have the correct level of sound on the meters, then there must be something wrong with your export settings when making your .mov. Check those first before raising the sound levels on your master.
