Thumbnail Index Software

Does anyone know of software that will take a Quicktime Movie and grab thumbnails at a specific time interval and create a JPEG file of the thumbnails in a grid?

I want to use something like this for archiving.

The process is called "logging", here's one app that help automate the process - not sure if it retains/exports thumbnails.

To me "logging" is primarily a text-based process. I'm after a purely visual reference.

You might try this app:

SnapFlow - An image studio for your videos

... or you could get with a developer and create a cool new FCP plug-in!

Or this simple app:

"Snapflow" doesn't do what I want. "Thumber" comes close but I need a few other features to make it workable - Remembering settings, storing in a specific folder, batch processing, identifying filename/location/date/size/length/codec in text at the top.

I find it hard to believe no one makes this. Here's a PC program that does what I want:

Sounds like a good opportunity to partner with a app developer and create what you need and sell it!

Run that program under Windows in a VMWare Fusion virtual machine on your Mac.
