Help with pulling content off DVD's

I have some DVD's that I need to pull the video off of to be able to edit it in FCP. What program can I do this with (I have Final Cut Studio 2)? I want to "rip" them at the highest possible quality (mov, avi, mpeg2?).

Thanks.

p.s. I have full rights to use the content on the DVD's from the owner.

Oliver,
If your on a mac this is how I do it first, download mactheripper free program.
leave all the default settings as they are that will create the Ts files for you. Next use
toast or some other burning program that allows ts burning. i found toast works best
for my needs but its not free.

Good luck
Shawn

Shawn, will this allow me to end up with usable files to open in FCP from the DVD? I need to extract the audio and video from the DVD's, I don't need to re-burn the it.

MPEGstreamclip is the app you want; far more output options and more robust.

Or DVDxDV: Product - DVDxDV: rip DVD video to Quicktime, for Final Cut Pro, Avid, iMovie, iDVD, iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV

Shawn mactheripper did the job, thanks!

Robert the MPEGstream works great and I can save as Prores442 so I don't have to render anything in FCP.

Thanks!
