Print to tape
 

Okay...

I've got five minutes of footage I need to send off on DV tape. It was shot at 1080i 60 on the EX3. In the Easy Setup in FCP I chose NTSC 48K Anamorphic for the timeline. I edited the piece and when I try to print to video, it works fine except it doesn't fill the screen on the camera I'm exporting to (Z1U). It's making me nuts trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm a new convert to Mac and FCP from Vegas. It worked fine in Vegas, but...

What exactly do you mean when you say it doesn't fill the screen? A couple things come to mind depending....

There's a screen that sticks out from the side of the Z1U. The image from the timeline wasn't filling it. I don't know how else to say it.

Doesn't matter, anyway. Without changing anything I tried it again and the entire image was there filling the screen as it printed to tape.

Computers. Gotta love 'em.
