Intensity pro HDMI Problem! Do You????

hello all
I just got my Black Magic Intensity Pro today from B&H. Plug it into my Mac Pro 8core intalled the driver first ofcousre the newest one from the website. Connect my 37" Dell with the HDMI open up final cut pro 6 setup the way the manual said and it output fine but the image look horrible it redish kind of thing. I tried with the component and it seam working fine. It not the cable or port on my tv. I switched the port to a different one and i even plug my Sony bluray dvd player to the same HDMI calbe and it working fine so i was just wondering if it the HDMI port on the card itself is bad or is there something i have to adjust to make it work correctly. There's a software come with the card call "Blackmagic Media Express" i believed this software is to capture and playback HD video but when i playback a video it did not show in my tv it just play on the computer monitor. Just wondering you guys can help before i call black magic and B&H on monday.

This is connection using HDMI. The big monitor on top is what came out from the HDMI of the card to my Dell 37"

Maybe they shipped you an Australian HDMI cable which is pre-gaussed for the southern (magnetic) hemisphere and hence the weird chroma effect?

R U using the proper output from BM?

My Intensity Pro wasn't labeled "HDMI in" or "HDMI out". Are you sure you're using the proper side. And in "View > Video Playback: is it set the the proper configuration for your monitor. That's all I can think of at the time.

Andrew are you serious about Pal and NTSC version of the card or you kidding??

Hey Paul thank you for your advice. There are 3 port and on the mannual and the box the middle one is the one that HDMI out. The outside one are In.
Yes in final cut i did setup right. Strange thing is Component are working fine but not HDMI. If i plug in the other HDMI port i have not thing come up on my TV monitor. I have to call B&H tomorrow i think it a bad card. Thank you for your information

Hi Thanh,

I'm just kidding (also known in Australia as "pulling your leg"). HDMI is pure digital bits.

Don't know what the answer is for your situation, unfortunately.

It looks like your TV is set for RGB HDMI instead of YRB. Try the "auto" setting if your TV has one. You may also want to turn off "x.y color" in the TV and see if that is causing the problem.

BTW, you should send these pics to Blackmagic. They will be able to pinpoint the problem immediately.
