Media Manager in FCP4

I'm having problems deleting clips using the media mangager.
I have a few clips that I captured wrong that i'm trying to delete.
I go in the Media manager,
I got Use existing media referenced by selected clip selected from the media pull down menu.
Also the Include rendered files checked off and
Deleted unused media from selected clip.
And Base media files names on existing file names from the pull down menu selected.

So I hit ok, then i get that warning, and I proceed to delete the media, then the timed/percentage bar comes up for a millisecond then dissapears, and nothing happens, no deletion.
Anyone experience this problem?
What should I do?

Is it just happening on one clip or all the clips you try to delete?

All the clips i've tried to delete.
There are 3 that I captured either too long or too short, and recaptured, so I just wanted to get rid of them, since they are just eating up HD space.

Since you recaptured, can you drag the original clips to the trash?

Yeah, i guess i could do that, but i just wanted to figure out why it won't work the way it's supposed to work.
Also, where can you find the actual media files? (So that I can delete them)

On the drive where you capture your media. If your not sure look in FCP>system Settings>Scratch Disk and note the drive or partition you have selected.

Yes I know that, but how are they labeled? And under what folder(s) are they under? I just also wanna make sure i delete the actual media, not just the render files and or the "clips".
