FCP 6.5 color correction- blue highlights
 

So I color correction some footage I should with my HMC150 and after it rendered blue highlights are somehow insterted into the video. Is there something I have turned on by mistake? The raw footage looks fine, it's only when / after I color correct it. I color correct all my footage I shoot with my HMC150 and have never had any issues until this. Please help.

Seriously, I think what happened is that you might have simply - inadvertently - pushed blues/saturation up too high and didn't notice in the preview. Or, did you do this in Color?

Are you on Snow Leopard or the "old" OS? (the new 2.2 gamma setting might have skewed previously good footage).

HA, it did go radio active but I have no clue how / why.

I barely adjusted the saturation. I did it right in FCP 6.5 with the "old" OS.

Actually I think I figured it out; those areas on the ground were already blown-out highlights, when you pushed it up the color you went "radioactive" and created the over-saturation. Pull back on whites (high-key in 3-way color corrector) and this should solve the problem.

Remember the HM150 shoots a 4:2:0 color space so you don't have the dynamic range of 4:2:2 which might have handled the highlights better.

Ok, I'll try it out when I get home.
