Apple Pro Training

Hey Guys,

I wonder has anybody here ever taken the Apple Certification Exams Level 1?
Maybe somebody can tell me how the Tests are? Like for example open Book, Multiple choice etc...
Just wondering how well I should be prepared for the Test or is just knowing your stuff good enough.
I’m planning on taking the FCP and Motion maybe DVDSP. Oh yeah I have the official Apple Pro Training Books

Thanks guys

Shaggy

I'd ask in the Apple FCP discussions.

Better luck I'd wager.

Sorry, I didn't see you post sooner.

I took a FCP class in May and I spoke with the instructor about the exams. He told me it was pretty tough. My understanding is that you are given a task to perform and you do it. You have to get a goog grade (I don't remember the number, but it wasn't like you could squeak by with a D-) and the test was $150.

I posted here if anyone thought it was important to get "apple certified" and the opinion was that it really wasn't that big of a deal, it's more important to just know what your doing.

Besides, you do have the Apple logo on the certificate, so if it does come up, you can flash that as proof that you really were instructed.

It won't come up, just put together a decent demo reel and, as the kids say, "start pimpin' "

Best of luck!
Joe

I took the test about 3 months ago, was sponsored by Apple. It was 80 questions, multiple choice, online. Very challenging. Lvl 2 was even more challenging.

Is there any place online that gives an example of the test? I've taken the class and have the book, as well, but it's been a few months and I remember the sample test in class being really tricky.

Blow some of this dust off here...

Yes Apple has a prep test that you can find on apple.com.
I should had posted this sooner incase someone else had any interest. So I finished several Apple Certification and my experience is...
Just going through the book and then jumping into the test without any real life experience can be tough. Not impossible but very though.
