Detect Frame Rates?

I have some tapes to capture from that got mixed up, and they were shot in different frame rates--one 24p, the other 30p. Is there anyway to tell what they were shot in so I can apply the pulldown to the 24p footage on capture?

If not, is there another solution to getting these at there correct frame rate? Capture without pulldown, then maybe there's something to look for and then do the pulldown after post?

Thanks,

Arne

You should not apply a pulldown DURING CAPTURE. I doubt that
is even possible (too intensive, you'll drop frames probably).
What you mean is interpreting the footage with pulldown after
a capture (inside your editing project).

(on the same lines there is no "after post", post is the work you
do after shooting/capturing and is where the pulldown happens)

I don't have a Mac, but my Sony Vegas NLE on the PC shows if
the footage is in 24p when I look at it in Vegas' explorer.
