Very urgent-Title 3D-stupid question

Excuse me for being so stupid, but how do I import a new font into Title 3D?

I already copied the new font in every map om my HD that says 'fonts', but for some strange reason I cannot select the font in Title 3D. I'm using FCP4.

Where should I copy or import the file to be sure I can use it in Title 3D?

Thanks a lot!!!!!
Once again, excuse me for my ignorance...

Maybe you've got a corrupt font?

Well that doesn't mean it's not corrupt. To be on the safe side perhaps you can try to check the font in FontDoctor.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with the font. It was send to me by e-mail by an art-director.

I just want to know where to copy this font, to be able to use it in Title 3D.

Can somebody indicate my the right map on my HD?????

Please help me as soon as possible....

If you put it in your "FONTS" folder (library/fonts or user/library/fonts) it should be available. Is it a TTF (true type font)? Art directors have a habit of passing out postscript fonts, which don't work.

Out of curiosity, what font is it?

You're right, he send me 2 fonts ;

One's named AntiqOliNor, which is indeed a PostScript-Font.

The other one is named Antique Olive Screen Fonts, and is a Font suitcase. Size : 40 kB.

I can't find this last one neither... Strange, no???

You need a TrueType or OpenType font.

See if this is it http://personales.com/espana/madrid/...nts/aolive.zip

or here, scroll down to it. http://fonts.goldenweb.it/index_file...0/default.html

or you can get it here for $22US. http://www.itcfonts.com/fontlist/antique-olive.html

I like the free versions.

As long as the first link is the correct font, dump them in your "library/fonts" folder and it will show up in Title 3D. I just tested it in FCP-HD and it worked fine.

-good luck
